Workshops

The Art Center’s Outreach Department and Indianapolis Marion County Public Libraries have partnered to bring multiple workshops to the community during the summer of 2007. This partnership connects the visual and literary arts by providing workshops based on Indianapolis native author and artist, Kurt Vonnegut, Jr..

Besides being known for his thought-provoking literary work, Vonnegut created drawings that were then revised into prints with his collaborator and master printer, Joe Petro III. Using Vonnegut’s short story, The Euphio Question as inspiration, artists will guide participants to reflect on specific components of the story and interpret them using various printmaking techniques.

Each participant will create 2—3 prints as well as walk away with knowledge of Kurt Vonnegut’s literary and visual artwork.

This workshop is appropriate for ages 16 and up.

Registration is required for these FREE workshops.
