Birthday Parties
Come and be creative at the Midwest’s premier Art Center on your child’s special day! The Indianapolis Art Center hosts birthday parties for children ages 3 and up. Please call for availability.
Cost
The cost of a party is $285 for members and $300 for non-members (up to 15 children). A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to hold the space; the balance is due at least one week prior to the party. If the party is less than 3 weeks away, the full amount is due at booking. Please book parties at least 2 weeks in advance. Party includes:
- 2 hour space rental
- 60-90 minute art activity
- Special gift for the birthday child
- Simple streamer and balloon decorations�
Party
The hands-on activity for the party is led by a professional working artist. This will last about 1 hour. During the remainder of the party the children can enjoy refreshments, open gifts and play games (provided by the parents). Please note: The artist will not be responsible for leading games or additional entertainment, other than the hands-on activity.
Activities
Families can choose the hands-on activity from a range of options:
- Mixed Media Collage
- Mask Making (Collage or Clay)
- Painting
- Pottery (mug, bowl, or mask)
Refreshments
Parents must bring refreshments, and birthday cake. Pizza can be delivered. We have a refrigerator and freezer to store ice cream and other items.
Decorations
The Art Center will provide streamers and balloons additional decorations must be provided.
Parent Responsibilities
- Parents must be at the Art Center 30 minutes before the start of the party to ensure that all details are set and welcome guests as they arrive.
- At least 2 adults must be present in the classroom to supervise the children at all times.
- Running and playing in the galleries is strictly prohibited. Parents will be held responsible if artwork in the galleries is damaged.
- Parents are responsible for conducting any additional activities and games. The artist is responsible for conducting the hands-on activity only.
- Parents are responsible for cleaning up from refreshments, gift opening, and games. The artist is responsible for cleaning up from the hands-on activity.
