Our Art Resolutions for 2018
"I made a goal to get back into my studio more this year and make a concerted effort to be a more productive printmaker than last year."
-Patrick Flaherty, President & Executive Director
"Take a class in 3D media."
-Jheny Nieto, Youth & Teen Programs Manager
"Make time to do my own creative play."
-Kimberly Conrad, Jewelry & Metalsmithing Studio Chair
"I would have to say make more art for fun instead of just for work."
-Ethan Culleton
"I want to practice my figure drawing skills at the Figure Study Open Sessions we do at the Indianapolis Art Center."
-Elise Howell, Office Manager
"In the new year, I would like to get back to fine arts roots and dedicate time to make more art for myself, my family and my friends."
-Shannon Bennett, Director of Marketing & Communications
"Every New Year's Day I create a collage vision board to clarify my goals for the coming year. This year's helped me to see how I would like to focus on change and growth in my home life. We will be doing collage techniques incorporating painting in my upcoming Collage Painting class."
-Addie Hirschten, Instructor
"My art resolution for the new year is to make 365 cups. Ideally it would be one cup per day, but I see myself making several cups at a time once a week. These cups will be pinched from a variety of clay and then fired in the Indianapolis Art Center wood kiln!"
-Alyson Walbridge, New Audiences Program Manager
