That’s a lot of options, so what do we recommend? How about everything! We realize everyone has individual needs when it comes to diets. The Art Center has folks within its walls who run the gamut of dietary interests and restrictions, and in order to be considerate of our community’s varied nutritional needs this assortment of vendors reflects that reality. Carnivores, vegetarians, vegans, ketogenic superstars, cider enthusiasts, craft brew junkies, wineos, coffee purists, chocolate and dairy lovers: this is your refueling haven during the Art Fair.
Looking for something with a little spice or regional zest? Check out El Venezolano or La Chinita Poblana, because nothing beats the sheer genius of eating tacos and empanadas while browsing art and meeting artists. While Shalimar won’t be bringing its lunch buffet, it’s offerings promise to give you a new favorite Indian restaurant to indulge in. Ruth’s Chris will be on premises serving steak house delicacies. Plus, we’ll have staples like pizza and gargantuan elephant ears, gourmet kettle corn, and surprises you’ll just have to sniff out.
More of a sweet-tooth and an eye for desserts? If you bow at the altar of ice cream, do not miss desserts from our neighbor BRICS, or the impressive concoctions from Moo & Lou Frozen Treats and More.
Wash it all down with local brews from Sun King Brewing Company, Ash & Elm Cider Co., and Mallow Run Winery. Looking for something refreshing and stimulating to help focus on the important task of finding your next favorite piece of art? You can’t go wrong with a caffeine-kick courtesy Hubbard & Cravens Coffee and Tea. Heck, we’ll even have Oberweis on hand with the dairy of your dreams.
Whatever flavors you choose, take the opportunity for a soothing walk around ArtsPark and revel in the harmony of nature dotted with art installations, the rustling of trees in a light breeze, and songbirds chirping melodies above a creative crowd that the Indianapolis Art Center is all too appreciative to serve. Explore with friends and talk to strangers, make connections and hear artist stories! Grow together during this longstanding community gathering while tasting some of the most well-favored restaurants and businesses the area has to offer.
We wish you a successful weekend scouring art, experiencing lively entertainment, and responsibly stuffing yourself full of foods you’ll be dreaming about until you’re back in food row again next year. So treat yourself, take a break, you deserve it.
