Locker Policies

  • Only currently-enrolled students or current Art Center members are permitted to rent lockers.
  • Lockers are rented only through Guest Services (by phone or in-person).
  • Each rental will have a specified start and end date. Each rental is a separate transaction.
  • Rentals are for a half term or a full term. There are no discounts and no pro-rating.
  • Lockers are rented strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Lockers will become available for any given semester two weeks before classes begin.
  • Rental agreements may be cancelled by the renter and receive a refund* if made prior to one week (7 days) before the start of the rental period. NO REFUNDS AFTER THIS TIME FOR ANY REASON. (*Rental fee includes a $3 transaction fee, which is non-refundable.)
  • The Indianapolis Art Center is not responsible for any loss or damage to belongings stored in the lockers.
  • The Art Center reserves the right to inspect locker contents at any time and without notice to the renter.
  • The following items are prohibited in lockers:
    • Hazardous Materials: Combustible Materials / Aerosols / Acid / Gasoline / Lighter Fluid / Oil Based Paints (over 8oz. per container) / Matches / Nail Polish & Remover / Liquid Bleach / Kerosene / Pool Chemicals / Fireworks / Pesticides / Motor Oil / Paint Thinner (over 32oz. total) / Batteries (AAA, AA, C, D, 9 volt are permitted) / Weed Killer / Ammonia / Lamp Oil / Propane Tanks (label and keep in Fire Cabinets)

    • Unlawful or Stolen Goods
  • If the Art Center discovers any prohibited items stored in a locker, they will be removed immediately. Discovery of prohibited items may result in termination of the rental agreement. Renters assume full responsibility for all contents of their locker.
  • All belongings must be removed by the end date specified on the locker rental agreement. After this date, all remaining items will be considered abandoned property.
  • The Art Center reserves the right to cancel a locker rental for reasons including but not limited to: defective locker, cancelled class (causing the student to no longer be currently enrolled), unforeseen circumstances preventing reliable access to lockers, renter violation of policies and/or procedures.
  • Other general guidelines for use:
    • Please make sure phones and other electronic devices are turned off or silenced before storing.
    • When emptying your locker at the end of your rental, please clean out any dirt, grease, pigment, etc., so the locker is ready for the next renter.
    • Communicate any issues with your locker to Guest Services immediately. We can’t fix what we don’t know about!
