Bronze Casting + Lost Wax


Learn to cast bronze sculptures! By using various mold techniques, you will create a mold dependent on a unique project of your very own. The class will finish the semester with a group casting!

Intro to Casting


Turn liquid metal into something lovely with metal casting! While having fun with the basics and experimenting with mold-making and lost wax techniques, students will learn about the world of hot metal arts, artists, and practices in a supportive environment.

Give the neighborhood birds something to chirp about with a custom birdbath! As the perfect addition to your garden, students will learn the basics of casting in metal and walk away with a beautiful piece of functional art.

Experience the Swiss army knife of the sculpture studio: The Oxy/Acetylene Torch! From welding and heat forming to soldering and brazing, students will learn the ins and outs of metal fabrication’s most versatile instrument.

Make a forge from scratch! With something as simple as a 20 pound propane tank, students will learn how to turn it into a Blacksmith’s best friend.

Forge your artistic destiny with blacksmithing! With small weekly projects introducing the basics of the art form, students will learn a variety of tips and techniques that will be put to the test when completing personalized projects.

Ornamental Blacksmithing
