Floor Loom Weaving 2


Build upon the skills learned in Weaving 1 and expand your knowledge of pattern and color! Join us as you settle into a rhythm at the loom and we weave with a supportive community of textile artists.

Woven Paintings


Channel you inner Monet as you create a gorgeous impressionistic woven painting in fiber. You will begin by selecting a favorite painting then use that as inspiration for your own woven tapestry painting.

Embroidery Explorations


Everyone knows a stitch in time saves nine, but where’s the fun? As a perfect class for beginners or those wanting to sharpen their skills, students will learn how threads of color can create beautiful designs full of movement and expression.

Freeing Your Creative Spirit


Join teaching artists Jen Broemel (textile) and Peggy Breidenbach (ceramic) as they pull assignments from Corita Kent’s seminal book, Learning By Heart, to help kick-start your own creativity and encourage you to look at the world in new ways. The class will use simple tools (paper, magazines, paint, thread, clay) to create both individual and group projects. Also incorporated will be improvisational techniques used by these artists in their own work as well as other approaches from invited guest artists.

Painting with Wool


Explore the magic of water and wool as you learn the felting process! Blend fibers to create gradients of colors, intuitive shapes, images and more as you layer beautifully felted works of art in this fresh studio environment.

It’s time to put needle and thread to fabric! Learn to use a sewing machine and how to troubleshoot common sewing problems. Explore the basics of going from a sewing pattern and fabric to an actual finished creation in this supportive textiles community!
